There are five main steps to installing a butterfly valve:

1. Butterfly valves can be installed on pipelines at any angle, but cannot be inverted. Usually installed vertically and horizontally.

2. Butterfly valves are generally used in a one-way manner. When installing, please note that the arrow on the valve body indicates the direction of medium pressure when sealing and closing.

3. When installing a flange butterfly valve at the end of the pipeline, it is necessary to install a damaged piece at the end to prevent the sealing ring from accumulating and exceeding its position.

4. Although the product has undergone strict inspection and pressure testing before leaving the factory, there are still some products that have vibration and screw displacement during transportation and need to be readjusted. If the butterfly plate is not tightly closed, turn the limit screw counterclockwise a little, turn the butterfly plate to the sealing position, and lock this nut when appropriate. If the butterfly plate is closed too far (or cannot be opened), turn the limit screw clockwise a little, open the butterfly plate and close the sealing position again. Lock the nut when appropriate.

5. When the electric butterfly valve leaves the factory, the opening and closing stroke of the control mechanism has been adjusted to prevent incorrect direction when the power is connected. Before turning on the power for the first time, the user needs to manually turn it on to the half open position, then touch the switch, and check that the direction of the indicator panel is consistent with the direction of the valve opening.
