What are the advantages or disadvantages of ball valves?
2023-09-26 17:05:00

The advantages of ball valves are:

1. High direct flow rate. The flow coefficient of ball valves is generally larger than other types of valves.

2. Small fluid resistance. The passage of the ball valve is generally smooth and the resistance is relatively small, so it is not easy to cause medium blockage.

3. Simple structure. The ball valve is mainly composed of a ball, a valve seat, a valve stem and other components. It has a simple structure and is easy to operate.

4. Good sealing performance. The ball valve has good sealing performance, which can ensure the sealing of the medium and prevent leakage.

5. Easy to maintain. The maintenance and repair of ball valves are relatively convenient, and the seals and balls can be replaced without disassembly.

The disadvantages of ball valves are:

1. High processing precision. The processing precision of ball valves is relatively high, the manufacturing is relatively complex, and the cost is relatively high.

2. Difficult to use in high temperatures. When the temperature is relatively high, the sealing material of the ball valve is easily deformed, resulting in loose sealing.

3. There are impurities in the pipeline that are easily blocked. If there are impurities in the pipeline, it is easy to block the passage of the ball valve, causing it to fail to open and close normally.

4. The adjustment performance is relatively poor. The regulating performance of ball valves is relatively poor and is not as accurate as other types of valves.
