The maintenance methods of ball valves are:

1. Disconnect the fluid medium.

2. Remove the ball valve manually.

3. Prepare all tools used during maintenance.

4. Release the inlet and outlet pressure of the valve.

5. Protect valve spare parts by sealing.

6. During disassembly, gradually unscrew the bolts in an even and symmetrical manner.

7. Apply appropriate cleaner to different parts of the valve.

8. Clean valve parts that cannot be removed from the valve itself.

9. After cleaning, remove the parts from the cleaner.

10. Apply lubricant to the valve and its spare parts when putting them back together.

Ball valves can be used in place of other valves:

Ball valves and butterfly valves are interchangeable. 

Ball valves are suitable for flow control and cut-off, and large-mouth golden butterfly valves can be used for flow regulation.

If the liquid medium is not particularly corrosive and has high viscosity, ball valves can be preferred. However, in large-diameter pipelines and low-temperature environments, butterfly valves are more suitable.

When low resistance and large flow are desired, ball valves can be used to replace solenoid valves, globe valves and other valves.
